Pamphlet 25 Bread Price Comparisons:

Pamphlet 25   Bread Price Comparisons:

South Africa bread prices in 1970, R 0,25 per loaf today R 14,00 less R 0,25 equals R 13,75, over  50 year period, = R 0.275 per loaf per year, my crazy calculations indicate about 110,00% per year.

This does not look too bad, until you are reminded that the bread in 1970 and 1980, was 900gms, which today has been reduced to 750gms, if you are lucky.

If we adjust todays bread price to a 900gm value, the equivalent price is R 16,80 per 900gm loaf, today R 16,80 less R 0,25 equals R 16,55, over  50 year period, = R 0.331 per loaf per year, my crazy calculations indicate about 132,00% per year.

Big Mac Index:

According to the Bic Mac Index, the countries compared rate as follows;

Switzerland:   6,54    13,93% more expensive than USA

USA:   5,74

South Africa:  2,19    61,84% less expensive than USA.

My personal belief is that the Rand / USD exchange rate, if it was not for the Free Market manipulation will be approx  R4.10 to the USD, and our petrol price today, should only be R4,45 per litre.

This topic will be discussed in a later pamphlet, the petrol price charged, would appear to have a global price, except for the USA, who produces a large percentage of their usage.

Bread Petrol

Bread, as a staple diet for the poverty groups, we need to find a solution to the global market escalated pricing.

This pamphlet asks questions, the clever will attack, but the responsible must answer.

The amount of money that the Global-Market filter off the essential needs of most citizens in the world, petroleum, essential because the Latipac does not wish to stop the flow of wealth, is criminal.
