In June 2013, Kaalvoet starts to research the impact of the 1913 Native Land Act on our country.

Who were we before 1913, and how did we get from 1913 to where we are today?

It takes a few months to find his footing, but suddenly he see a different scenario;

1: If it was not for what the coloniser did, blacks would be the wealth of South Africa today.

2: If it was not for what the coloniser did, Townships would not exist.

3: If it was not for what the coloniser did, black poverty would not exist.

4: I equate the damage done to our black people with the Holocaust, and ask the question;

Is it equal to, greater than, or lesser than?

5: I recognise Economic Segregation as the ‘Prime Evil’, and that we have not addressed the problem.

Kaalvoet asks himself, was Nelson Mandela conned, or was we a collaborator?
